How long does it take to receive my car?

There are three parts to the wait time:

  • In-land — This is the time it takes for the car to travel from wherever it was purchased to the Japanese Port. On average, this should take 10-20 days

  • Port — Here, the car will join a queue wait for a vessel with available space. Times vary, but on average, this can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on shipping demand, vessel availability, and port congestion. During this time, necessary inspections and paperwork are also completed before the car is loaded onto a vessel.

  • Ocean Travel — This is the time from when the vessel leaves the Port of Origin and makes its way to the Port of Destination. Travel times depend on the Destination, but on average, it takes 45 days to travel from Japan to Port of Baltimore.

This timeline may vary depending on factors such as shipping delays, customs processing, and local transportation logistics. On average, the entire process should take around 2 months from initial purchase, to the time of final delivery.

How much does everything cost?

Our cost structure is as follows:

Price of Vehicle + Service Charge + Duty + Customs Fee + Port Retrieval

In this example, the customer purchased a Nissan Silvia (S15) through our auction service. The listed vehicle price reflects the actual selling price of the car shown. Attached is the detailed quote for reference.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs vary depending on vehicle size and the seasonal shipping trends. For most, shipping costs will generally fall between $1500-$2400.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT ARRIVES?

When the vessel arrives at the destination port, it will have to debark all the necessary vehicles, including your own. After a couple days, we will receive a notice stating that the vehicle is cleared for pick up. Since the port is a government installation, it requires special credentials to enter. Because of this, we will enter on your behalf to bring your vehicle out.

How does it come here?

Vehicles arrive on Roll-On-Roll-Off (RORO) vessels. This means that cars are driven on and off during loading and debarking phases. This maximizes space while minimizing the time spent at ports, contributing to quicker travel times.
